Trialable is a mobile app designed to optimize clinical trial efficiency by (1) helping clinicians in acute care settings identify clinical trial candidates and (2) upon identification, sending SMS text alerts to research coordinators who will subsequently follow up with the clinician. If you are involved in recruiting candidates for clinical trials, then this app may be for you!Features:- Short, de-identified screening surveys that (1) present users with lists of clinical trials for which a patient may qualify and (2) allow users to send SMS text alerts to research coordinators of clinical trials- A leaderboard and evolving character system that incentivize screening survey completion- An up-to-date list of trials that can be used as a quick reference for ongoing clinical studiesTrialable’s screening surveys are generated and updated by professional research coordinators using https://trialable.web.app. The coordinators have restricted screening surveys to only include the most important criteria of ongoing trials. This helps keep the screening surveys short and sweet!Trialable is committed to protecting patient confidentiality -- this application never asks for or stores identifying information about patients (i.e. names, medical identifiers/numbers, emails, contact info, etc). The SMS text alerts that Trialable sends to research coordinators only contain the phone number of the clinician who has sent the alert -- they do not include any patient information. After receiving an SMS text alert from Trialable, research coordinators must subsequently follow up with the alerting clinician to discuss the candidate privately and to schedule a more in-depth screening session with the patient. Trialable is not intended to be used as the sole means of identifying patients for clinical trials -- it is instead meant to be used as a way to quickly initiate communication between research coordinators and clinicians who have identified potential trial candidates.Trialable is intended to be used by clinicians who would like assistance with clinical trial recruitment; because users of the application are able to send SMS text alerts to research coordinators, our team manually reviews and follows up with all app account requests before approving accounts to ensure that the app is being used in an appropriate setting/manner.Please contact us at [email protected] for additional support, questions, or feedback.
